Can you believe it? Which type of shopaholic buys toothpastes for the sake of water bottles? LOL.
I know I made this decision on impulse because these were placed at the queue area right before the counter. And when I saw it, I swept all three types of Sensodyne into my basket.
To mitigate my impulse decision, I must say that I toothpaste was on my shopping list, but I left it out because my load was too heavy. I needed to get a sensitive gum toothpaste for a family member, and actually was aiming at Colgate, as requested by the person.
But I used my own judgment and decided that since this one comes with a "free" tumbler each, I will take it. Also, my aunt told me Sensodyne really works better than Colgate too, which influenced me partly to buy this.
As this is my first time buying Sensodyne (because I do agree that it is expensive), I can really feel how strong and successful the marketing campaign here is. It actually bought over one new person in the toothpaste market.
Reasons that caught my eye/brain:
1. Transparent bottle - it is very important to me that I can see how much water I have left. It is also a beautiful visual effect to see your water or the colour of your beverage.
2. The bolded word "TUMBLER" - I am very sensitive to this word because it is synonymous to water in the working environment, yes, MUCH needed water at my work.
3. "FREE" - Trust me, no matter how I do the Math, it is NOT free. But it works anyway. It works in a way to tell me that while I buy a tube to test because I am a new customer to this brand, and I don't need bundle packs, all I need is one small tester tube, I actually get a water bottle for testing! So I get compensated to try out a new product.
4. Individually packed with different colour for different type - makes it easy for someone like me who is in the queue already, to grab. The clear colour, green for mint, purple for gum and gold for whitening, tells me immediately which one I should grab.
5. Lastly, I bought 3 not only because of the different types, back in my mind, I know I have 2 siblings, so I am extremely used to going for things that will feed all of us. If I get a bottle, I feel that my siblings should get one as well. So yes, since both are still in school, I decided I shall give them one each, and keep one for myself. NICE. haha.
6. As for the toothpaste, the "gum" one is for my family. And I shall do a test on the Whitening one, and blog about it. Killing two birds with one stone. LOL.
